If you’ve got this far, you’ve already worked out I’m a passionate photographer and filmmaker. Honestly, I’m only really happy when I’m doing one of those two things. And being really honest, it probably comes across in the odd Dad joke. I can’t help it, I AM a dad.

I’m also an award-winning commercial photographer and filmmaker, and have been for twenty years. So alongside the passion and love for the art, and for people, I’m bringing a wealth of experience. And the most important aspect of that experience is that I understand it is your day, not mine. Whether it’s a barn wedding, a church wedding, a festival wedding, or a simple registry office wedding, what I bring to the party is the humility and sensitivity to document what is specific and personal and specific to your day - the people, the stories, the very uniqueness of you.

Father of two amazing young people, avid filmmaker, passionate photographer, lover of books and old films and everything French and everything black and white. Also lover of colour and vibrancy and stories and characters. I’ve shot BBC dramas, had sitcoms in development, worked for Sky, BBC, ITV, Discovery, Disney, MTV, you name it. I’ve hidden on the floor of an ice cream truck in a field with punk rocker Eddie Tenpole, I’ve set fire to a four storey building, I’ve nearly died at sea. I gave Danny Dyer a filming job when he was skint, had a filming job off Jamie Oliver when I was skint and bossed Evander Holyfield around. I’ve filmed in almost every European city, and actually been down and out in London, Paris and Milan. I desperately want to take myself seriously but I just cant, so I take my creativity seriously instead.

That’s how long I’ve been addicted to telling stories with a camera, back when loafers with white socks, rolls of celluloid film and prancing about on Camden rooftops were first in fashion.
I tried being the straight guy, working for all those broadcasters and corporations. Ten long and often fun years of travelling the world shooting. But it just wasn’t me. The offices. The desks. The politics.
What was me? Turns out, ‘me’ is shooting the mad stuff, the bad stuff, the funny and the sad stuff. And yes, the simple and traditional stuff. The essential human stuff. YOUR stuff.

Driving around the country to awesome weddings listening to Radio 3 in my old VW beetle Astrid, the other love of my life. But we don’t need to discuss me and my girl’s car here and now do we?

So what is my style and what am I about?

Is it quirky? Is it stylised? Is it documentary? Is it editorial? I’d say it was a little bit of all of this, with a bit of me added, and most importantly, a whole load of you. You are the stars of the show and my thing is to bring that out in your film or your photos, whether you’re shy and retiring, or wild instagram extroverts , the day is yours, right?

And that doesnt mean I force a load of posing and showing off on you. I work with my couples, to document the day in a way that is most faithful to what they’re about. I can be quiet, reserved and discrete too, honest.

So I might turn up with smoke bombs, a big mirror, a loud hailer, a vintage camera…

Or I might just tuck myself quietly away to one side and observe.

In short, I do whatever I think is going to make your film, your photos more authentic, more interesting, and above all, more you.
