Nothing beats a walk along the Thames on a sunny early evening, hanging out at Tate Modern and the Millenium Bridge, checking out buskers at Blackfriars, stopping to browse Borough Market, and then grabbing a glass of wine in the Hays Galleria and taking in HMS Belfast and the Cutty Sark before enjoying a golden sunset at City Hall and Tower Bridge. Even better, as a photographer, when your couple agree enthusiastically because it was the walk they took on their first date.
Tess and Shaun were fantastically relaxed together and in front of the camera, and game to try out all kinds of strange ideas. A real example to a more self-conscious couple, they just went with the flow, and their easy, comfortable, laid-back manor and closeness comes through.
An engagement shoot is part exploration, getting to know a couple, and the couple getting to know their photographer, but also about trying things out, being prepared to do more than just offer generic portraits. Tess and Shaun were so game to do this, that there were some really amazing, unexpected results. Guys, thanks for being fun and letting me experiment, I think we got some awesome stuff. Can't wait for the big day x Adam
